Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist
TransGaming is currently
hiring individuals to expand the quality assurance for our Cedega
and Cider products, which allows Windows games to be run on Linux
and Macintosh systems. This position involves playing a wide
variety of video games on differently configured Linux and Mac
systems, and being paid for it. This position is open to new
graduates as well as summer interns or co-op students.
Responsibilities Include:
- Testing and quality assurance of TransGaming Products
- Benchmark and profile game performance
- Submit clear and accurate bug reports
- Design, writing and implementation of test plans for use in
testing routines
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Proven ability to work on tasks independently and to meet time
lines and quality objectives
- Debugging and problem solving skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, and popular Windows-based
game titles
- Linux experience
- Solid knowledge of group-based software development processes,
including standard best practices for applying quality assurance to a
development cycle
Desired Skills:
- Intermediate-level C and C++ experience
- Previous technical support experience
- Python and GTK experience
- Previous QA and testing experience
- Linux or Mac OS X development experience
- Knowledge of Cedega and other TransGaming products
